Pattern design, art direction, and content creation for the NYC Nightlife Awards, showcasing my drag queen alter ego Kari Kerning.

After creating a custom repeating pattern printed on 5 yards of fabric, I collaborated with costume designer Chris Hyndes and draper Jason Garrett Gomez to bring the vision to life.

The final look debuted at the NYC Nightlife Awards (The Glam Awards) and was later featured in an immersive AV performance piece. Alongside the pattern design and art direction, I also crafted the accompanying motion graphics and audio mix for the performance.

During the COVID lockdown this performance moved online, inspiring a social media content series. All videos were recorded and edited solo in my NYC studio apartment. This social content (alongside my other performances from the series) garnered significant views on Tiktok, and provided a valuable way to keep the art of performance alive despite the restrictions.
